A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a tipper in Kavre on Saturday.
Badri Khadka, 51, of Dyangdunga of Banepa Municipality-1 died on the spot as a tipper (Ba 4 Kha 3324) hit him. He was reportedly walking roadside when he was hit. The body has been taken to Sheer Memorial Hospital for post-mortem.
Following the accident, locals resorted to vandalism in the protest against the accident, prompting the police to open four rounds of fire in air to take the situation under control, Area Police Office Banepa's police inspector Sunil Jung Shah said. RSS
