A 17-year-old schoolboy missing for the past one week was found alive on Wednesday.
Binod Silwal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Metropolitan Police Circle in Satdobato confirmed finding the boy Wednesday evening.
John Tamang, a six grader student at Thasikhel-based Ajaya Shiksha Sadan went missing from Phulchoki on Thursday. He was hiking with his 11 friends, led by school Principal Durga Bahadur Oli.
Silwal said the boy was found by his relatives in the Jungle of Phulchoki. The jungle lies just above the Godawari, lay at around 11km east from Kathmandu.
After the boy went missing, the parents staged a protest blaming the incident occurred due to the principal’s negligence.
