Former ward chairperson of the then Daduwa VDC-2 in Ramechhap district was found murdered in cold blood on Monday, police said.
According to Police Inspector Rajendra Thapa, Baburam Tamang, who was elected to the ward chairman’s post in the 1997 local elections on CPN-UML’s ticket, was found dead, his body crushed by stones in Lapsikhola area.
Police said they were the body was discovered by some locals.
Police has arrested 11 suspects for questioning.
