A woman was injured when unknown gunmen opened fire at Tokha Municipality-1 on the northern outskirt of Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The identity of the injured woman is yet to be verified.
She sustained bullet injuries in her knee and is undergoing treatment at the Dhapasi-based Grande International Hospital.
The incident site is located in the Shivapuri National Park.
SSP Rabindra Dhanuk, Chief at the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, said that the reason behind the shooting is not known.
“We are searching for the persons who opened the fire,” SSP Dhanuk said.
