Dhankuta
A general strike in Dhankuta district on Monday has affected normal life in the district.
The banda was called today demanding Dhankuta be declared the capital of province 1.
Vehicles have remained off the road while market areas, shops and industries are also shut. Transportation to and from Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha and Terhathum districts have also been affected due to the strike in the district.
Banda enforcers are protesting at Zero Point in Dhankuta Municipality-7 and have even stopped motorcycles from running on the road. They had been protesting for the past four days.
