The left alliance of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) has taken lead in the early vote counting of the parliamentary and provincial elections.
Early tallies from the first phase of elections held on November 26 show the left bloc's lead in 29 federal constituencies and 39 provincial constituencies.
The Nepali Congress has been leading in five federal constituencies and three provincial constituencies.
The first phase of parliamentary and provincial elections was held in 32 districts on November 26. The counting of second phase elections held in 45 districts on Thursday is likely to start from Friday morning.
