CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has cast his ballot from Shantipur School in Bharatpur-14 of Chitwan district on Thursday.
He was the first one to vote at the centre.
“From today, one political chapter has closed and a new one has begun,” said Dahal after dropping ballot paper in the box. “The journey of prosperity and development has begun, political stability has started in the country.”
Dahal expressed his hopes that left alliance of Maoist Centre and CPN-UML would garner majority in the elections.
Dahal further noted that UML and Maoist Centre would unite after the elections.
