Police have arrested “free Madhes” campaigner CK Raut from Janakpur on Thursday.
Raut was arrested from his rented apartment in Maccha Bazaar of Janakpur Sub-metropolis-4.
Raut is involved in anti-election activities asking his supporters and voters to cast votes out of ballot box in an apparent move to boycott the elections.
According to our Dhanusha district correspondent, police are taking Raut to District Police Office for investigation.
In Saptari, no voters showed up at an election centre in Adharbhut Primary School situated in Mahadeva Rural Municipality. It is learnt the area is the home town of CK Raut.
