An improvised explosive device (IED) went off near the house of Nepali Congress candidate Ramesh Lekhak in Bhimdatta Municipality of Kanchanpur on Monday night. No human casualty has been reported.
DSP Gyan Bahadur Setti at District Police Office, Kanchanpur, said that police are searching for the miscreants.
Meanwhile, in a statement, NC's former Kanchanpur district working committee secretary Bhojraj Bohara condemned the attack and demanded action against those involved in planting the IED. RSS
