An IED went off at Chhireshwornath Municipality in Dhanusha on Tuesday afternoon.

Area Police Office, Mahendranagar, said that the bomb was exploded in the east corner of Chhireshwor Janata Higher Secondary School's playground. Police said that no human casualty was reported in the blast.

The security situation has been beefed up in the area after the blast.

Police Inspector Naresh Singh said elements carrying out anti-poll activities may have blasted the bomb at the school premises which servers at a polling station for the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies on Thursday. RSS
