Ratnanagar (chitwan)
A bomb disposal squad of Nepal Army deactivated one of the two grenades found at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-5 of Chitwan district this morning.
However, the other grenade found near the metropolitan city's Ward-5 office at Geetanagar went off before the army squad could dispose it, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Prabhu Prasad Dhakal at the District Police Office, said.
The grenade was discovered at 2 am today. However, no casualties were reported in the explosion except that the window panes at the Ward Office were shattered, the Chitwan District Police Office said. Police suspect that the grenades might have been planted by a group protesting the elections to terrorise the voters ahead of the elections.
