A meeting of security officials in Banke has identified 100 of the 136 polling stations in the district as “highly sensitive” and the remaining 36 as “sensitive” in terms of security. The meeting has listed the polling stations near the Nepal-India border on the “highly sensitive” category. A special security arrangement shall be made in these stations, CDO Ramesh Kumar KC said. The local administration is also planning to urge the Indian authorities to heighten the border security during the election period. (PR)
