A person died and two others were injured when a truck met with an accident at Rong rural municipality-1, Kolbung of Ilam along the Mechi Highway.

The Ilam District Police Office confirmed that truck driver Bhim Nembang, 40, of Ilam municipality-4 died in the truck (Na 4 Kha 369) accident that occurred on Tuesday evening.

Singha Raj Mahat of Ilam municipality-10 and Karan Rishidev of Duhabi of Sunsari were injured in the accident. They are undergoing treatment at B&B Hospital in Birtamodh of Jhapa, police informed.

The Ilam-bound truck from Jhapa had veered off the road around 150 metres down. RSS
