A person was found dead inside a cab in Manohara town planning in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, Bhaktapur on Wednesday.

According to DSP at Metropolitan Police Circle Thimi, Prajwal Maharjan, a dead body of a male aged around 40 was recovered lying on the backseat of the taxi (Ba 1 Ja 1040). He said the identity of the dead person has not been established as the face has been bruised beyond recognition. Police suspect that the deceased was hit with stone and brick on his face and head.

Police have cordoned off the area and initiated investigation. Bhaktapur Police, and a special team of Metropolitan Crime Investigation Division have been searching for the perpetrators and establish the identity of the deceased.
