The Supreme Court (SC) has said that there is no need of separate ballot papers for the parliamentary and provincial elections under the proportional representation (PR) category.
Responding to a writ demanding separate ballot papers for the PR category like that of first-past-the-post (FPTP) electoral system, a single bench of Justice Ananda Mohan Bhattarai has ruled that there is no need of issuing interim order on the writ.
Advocates Sunil Kumar Patel and Sita Ram Agrawal had filed a writ at the apex court on Sunday demanding separate ballot for the federal and provincial elections under PR system.
The SC has also ordered not to interrupt the grand election process by raising minor legal and practical issues.
