A moderate earthquake, measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale struck Baitadi district on Wednesday night.
The ripple of the quake was also felt for several other adjacent districts from its epicenter in Baitadi, according to the Regional Seismological Centre, Surkhet.
Many panic-stricken locals were reported fleeing to safety following the incident. Suresh Shrestha of Gokuleshwor in Baitadi shared that he ran out of house together with his family members as they felt the quake around 9:30 pm.
There were no reports of injuries or damages, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Baitadi, Heramba Sharma.
Earlier last month, another mild quake of 4.9 magnitude had hit Bajhang district. RSS
