An elected representative of Resunga Municipality has been arrested for possessing explosives in Gulmi district.
Gulmi District Police arrested Nepali Congress (NC) ward member of Resunga Municipality-8, Tara Bahadur Shresha, with 33 sets of explosive detonators, four thread bombs, one kg gunpowder, and a couple of safety fuses from Udindhunga in the municipality on Saturday night. He was heading towards Tamghas by carrying the explosives on a motorbike.
SP Anurag Kumar Dubibedi said the police have been investigating into the matter.
