RJP-N officially decides to take part in all elections

Organising a press conference to unveil the decision of party office bearers’ meeting in the Capital on Thursday, the party has officially announced that it would take part in provincial and parliamentary elections to be held on November 26.
RJP-N presidium coordinator Mahantha Thakur said that they have decided to participate in the elections after the government addressed some of their demands. He said that they would pile pressure on the government to address their remaining demands through peaceful protest.
Thakur said that increasing local level units in Tarai, declaring martyrs to those killed in Madhes agitation, providing treatment to the injured are the achievements of the party’s agitation.
The party has also decided to deploy central representatives in eight districts to pick candidates for the third phase of local level polls.
The RJP-N has chosen bicycle as its election symbol after the Election Commission refused to provide umbrella as the election symbol.
Earlier, the Sharad Singh Bhandari-led Rastriya Madesh Samajbadi Party had used bicycle as its election symbol.
