RJP-N to take part in phase III polls
Albeit the much-awaited constitution amendment bill, brought to address key demands of the agitating Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal, failed to garner two-third majority in the Parliament on Tuesday, the party has decided to take part in the third phase of local level elections slated to be held in Province 2 on September 18.

The office bearers meeting of the party held on Wednesday decided to take part in the elections and begin preparations for the same.
The meeting has formed a committee for the preparations of the polls and has assigned the responsibility to choose the election symbol to RJP-N presidium, party General Secretary Manish Suman said.
According to him, the RJP-N presidium meeting would formulate criteria to pick the candidates.
The meeting would form election publicity committee, manifesto committee, finance committee, mechanism to pick candidates, deploy central leaders and choose election symbol, said Suman.
