PM Deuba’s India visit itinerary made public

He is embarking on a five-day visit at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Deuba would stay at the Rastrapati Bhawan.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara, ministers and high ranking government officials among others.
This will be his first India visit after being elected as the Prime Minister for fourth time.
He is scheduled to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat on Thursday. PM Deuba would pay a courtesy call to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind the same day.
Other programmes during the visit include:
1. Hold meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and senior Cabinet members
2. Attend the reception hosted by Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Deep Kumar Upadhyay
3. Visit Telangana, Andra Pradesh and Bihar
During his India visit, PM Deuba will review old agreements signed between the two countries, discuss about the damage caused by Laxmanpur Baggarge and Koshi Barrage among others in the past few weeks, it has been learnt.
Likewise, the Prime Minister will also dig up the issue of Rs 50 million, the government of India had pledged to give to the locals while constructing the Koshi Barrage.
The Prime Minister will return home on August 27.
