Vehicular movement along the Barhabise-Tatopani road has come to a complete standstill following a series of landslides at Sakhuwa area in Sindhupalchok.
Landslides have struck at least a dozen places, including Sirise, Daklang and Jhirpu, Barhabise Area Police Office said on Sunday.
Road surface has caved in and developed cracks at different places, Police Inspector Pancha Kumar Bakhu said.
It will be some time before the traffic resumes because the landslides have not stopped, he added.
Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel have been deployed to the landslide-affected areas.
Many passengers and vehicles have been stranded as a result of landslides, Inspector Bakhu said.
On Friday, traffic along the Barhabise-Kathmandu road was also disrupted because of landslides at Mahabhir and Jure areas.
Meanwhile, a landslide at Kagate settlement in Barhabise Municipality destroyed a hut and displaced six families .
