Mahendranagar (dhanusha)
Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal presidium member Rajendra Mahato has said a positive environment for elections was building up.
Mahato made the remarks in a meeting with journalists after distributing relief packages among the flood victims in the district on Friday.
He also urged all the political parties to take part in the local polls scheduled for September 18. The Madhesi leader complained of ineffective relief distribution
programmes in the Tarai districts.
The RJP-N leader said the government had released only one billion rupees for flood relief packages although his party had sought Rs26 billion.
Mahato also demanded
an authority to work solely on relief distribution citing that aid had not reached the needy in many affected areas.
