A person died and three others were injured after being struck by a lightning at Saamari Maibal area in Meghang Rural Municipality – 6 of Nuwakot on Friday.

According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Tej Lal Yadav of the Area Police Office, Saamari, the deceased has been identified as Bhibhram Tamang, 42.

The incident occurred while he was sleeping in his house.

Tamang’s nephew Surya, 22, his wife Sushma, 22, and their four-year-old son Arun were injured in the incident.

They have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment. RSS
