Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Vice-Chairman Qi Xuchun called on Vice-President of Nepal Nanda Bahadur Pun in Lanzhou, China, on Thursday.

During the meeting, Vice-President Pun thanked the Government of People’s Republic of China for their valuable support in development endeavour of Nepal and expressed willingness to widen and deepen relationships in various fields for mutual benefit, read a statement issued by Embassy of Nepal in Beijing.

Expressing Nepal’s adherence to one China policy, Vice-President Pun emphasised the importance of high level visits for further cementing ties.

On the occasion, Vice-Chairman assured of continued support to Nepal under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative in the areas of cargo transportation, energy development and tourism promotion.

He further stated that Nepal-China relations are not only important for two countries but important for the entire South Asia.

The two leaders also shared views on entire gamut of bilateral relations between the two counties, the statement further read.
