Nepali Congress (NC) candidates have been elected as chairperson and deputy chairperson in Kanda Rural Municipality (Village Council) of Bajhang district.
NC candidate Rajendra Bahadur Thami won the election by securing 384 votes while his nearest rival CPN-UML’s Manbir Bohara garnered 336 votes.
Likewise, NC’s Kalpana Bohara polled 394 votes to be elected as deputy chair and her closest contestant UML’s Dolma Tamang secured 326 votes.
