Chitwan
The Narayangadh – Muglin section will remain open round-the-clock in view of the second phase of local level elections slated for June 28.
The local authorities had been closing the road section for six hours (10 am to 4 pm) on a daily basis for road construction.
Multiple landslides along the road section have resulted in deaths and traffic jams in the past week.
Many voters from three provinces—1, 5 and 7— are leaving for their destinations today to take part in the second phase of local polls.
Chief District Officer (CDO) Narayan Prasad Bhatta said that human resources and equipment are on standby to get to work immediately in the eventuality of a fresh landslide along the road section. RSS
