Speaking at an election assembly organised in Damak of Jhapa on Friday, leader Bhattarai said that all the unfair deals signed with India in 1950 treat could be scrapped once the country becomes strong economically.
Leader Bhattarai claimed that his party can only take the country towards the path of economic prosperity.
He said that corruption should be wiped out to make the country economically strong.
Bhattarai accused the three major political parties of misusing 90 percent of the country’s budget under various pretexts.
Moreover, he said that Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)’s recent decision to provide a mobile phone to each of the elected ward representatives, including mayor and deputy mayor is a perfect example of corruption.
The KMC had decided to allocate a maximum budget of Rs 30,000 to each ward representative for the purchase of a new cell phone of their choice.
He stressed on the need to institutionalise the issues of development and prosperity after the second phase of local level elections slated for June 28.
