A person died and seven others were injured in a Tata Sumo jeep accident near Bhalukhola in Golenjor Village Council-7 of Sindhuli along the BP Highway on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as jeep driver Ram Hari Das, 24, of Namdu, Dolakha.
The incident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle (Na 1 Ja 4935) and fell some 15 feet down the road, according to SP Uma Shankar Panjiyar.
The four-wheeler was heading towards Dolakha from Kathmandu when the incident occurred.
Among the injured, two are said to be in critical condition. They have been taken to Kathmandu for treatment.
Police suspect that incident might have occurred due to over-speed.
