A Nepal Army soldier died after his own gun was fired in Dang on Monday.
The deceased soldier has been identified as 34-year-old Kishan Thapa of Ghorahi Sub-metropolis-10.
Corporal Thapa died when his ‘own gun went off’ near Rapti Bridge while an army team was heading towards Gadhawa Village Council to provide security for the election.
District Police Chief SP Dhiraj Pratap Singh said that Thapa succumbed to injuries while being taken to Rapti sub-regional hospital for treatment.
