Voting postponed in Kavre following death of youth

Family members and relatives of Nawaraj Pathak, 28, blamed firing by Armed Police Force for his death. But local administration refused their claims and said facts can only be determined after conducting a detailed investigation into the case.
Pathak's relatives said they would not allow election until the guilty were identified and punished. They have demanded Pathak declared martyr, provide compensation to the deceased family and action against the guilty.
Chief District Officer Shiva Prasad Simkhada informed they have written to Home Ministry asking for new date to conduct election. He said the demands of the deceased family members have also been forwarded to the Home Ministry.
