An unidentified group set ablaze a bus and a truck at Rising and Belbhanjyang of Tanahun district on Friday night.
A group of eight to nine persons set the bus (Na. 6 Kha 3525) parked at Chalise of Rising-6 on fire.
The bus was completely gutted in the fire, SP Umesh Raj Joshi said.
The bus driver and his assistant were forced out of the bus before it was set on fire.
Similarly, the truck (Na. 3 Kha. 9116) was torched at Belbhanjyang in Bandipur Rural Municipality-1.
The driver was inside the truck when it was set on fire. However, he managed to escape by breaking off the front glass, DSP Manoj Pandey said.
