Issuing a press statement on Sunday as a coordinator of Sanghiya Gathabandhan on a letter pad of his party SSF-N, Yadav has said the decision of the alliance that met without its coordinator and spokesperson Om Gurung was merely a personal decision and that has nothing to do with the Gathabandhan.
On Saturday, the Gathabandhan meeting, held in the absence of Yadav and SSF-N affiliated ethnic fronts, had decided to oust Yadav and his party from the alliance of Madhesi and Janajati forces claiming that he deceived them by joining the local polls.
“The news reports that claimed Mahantha Thakur had replaced Yadav as coordinator of Sanghiya Gathabandhan was personal and not the official decision,” Yadav said in the statement, terming the mover as “political betrayal and was condemnable”.
He also dismissed the decision as illegal, claiming that it was against the spirit and ethics of the core concept of the Gathabandhan.
