Chief Justice Sushila Karki on Sunday visited President Bidhya Devi Bhandari at the latter's official residence in Sheetal Niwas, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.
According to Deepa Sharma, a member at President Secretariat, CJ Karki came to extend an invitation to President Bhandari for attending the Law Day function to be organised by Supreme Court on May 9.
CJ Karki, who was suspended after ruling coalition Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) filed an impeachment motion against her on April 30, resumed her office from Friday after the Supeme Court’s interim order to stay the motion.
CJ Karki is retiring on June 7 due to age limit.
