The Rasuwagadhi border point is closed since Saturday as the Chinese authorities are constructing a road below the Resuwaport-Kerung road section in Thongsa. Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Chomendra Neupane said the border point was closed off until Monday to facilitate the blasting operation underway at the construction site.
The road is expected to open from Tuesday. China has been developing Rasuwagadhi as an international border point as part of its One Belt, One Road initiative.
