Telephone and mobile services in the Eastern region has been disrupted since Tuesday night after unknown individual cut the Nepal Telecom optical fibre at Duhabi, Sunsari.
The perpetrator, yet to be identified, used sharp weapon to slash the optical fibre, said police.
As a result, landline, pre-paid and post-paid services have been disrupted however, ADSL services are operational.
A team of technicians have been deployed in the area to resolve the problem, informed Siraha Telecom Office Chief Kari Yadav. He said that the line will be repaired within Wednesday.
