A group of smugglers attacked police personnel and robbed a shotgun at Dharmanagar in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-1 of Bara on Monday.
Police head constables Shekh Masarul and Binod Paswan and police constables Chandreshwor Singh and Jagamohan Rawat were injured in the attack.
All the injured are receiving treatment at the Birgunj-based Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital, DSP Narendra Upreti informed.
A police team under the command of DSP Upreti has been sent to the incident site, it has been learnt.
Police said that they have started a manhunt to nab the culprits.
