The head of Pokhara Town Development Committee has resigned from his post to file candidacy for the forthcoming local level elections.
Committee Chairman Prakash Mohan Khanal submitted his resignation to Urban Development and Building Construction Department's Division Office, Pokhara Chief, Kishor Lal Mahaju.
On Tuesday, Khanal held a press conference to express his intent to run for the top post of the Rupa Village Council in Kaski under the Nepali Congress ticket.
"I am a soldier of the party, I will fulfill the responsibility handed to me by the party," he said during the press meet. Khanal was appointed Committee's Chair on July 8, 2015. RSS
