Nepali Congress Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the new constitution amendment proposal registered at the Parliament on Tuesday is to address the concerns of the Madhesi people.

Speaking during a press meet organised by Palpa chapter of Nepal Press Union at Tansen on Wednesday, leader Poudel said that new amendment proposal has been registered to facilitate the people of Madhes to take part in the upcoming local level election and to honour the sentiments of the Madhes-based parties.

Leader Poudel accused the Madhes-based leaders of disseminating false facts to the people adding that the NC has always favoured for the inclusion, citizenship rights, development and betterment of   the Madhesi people.

Saying that the local level election is the best option for the Madhesi people to gain autonomy, leader Poudel urged the Madhes-based leaders not to avert from the course.
