A man in Banke has died while taking part in a physical test for the temporary police to be deployed during election.
Tod Bahadur Tharu, 29, of Baijapur, Banke, died after completing the 100 meters race. Banke DSP Saroj Paudel said Tharu died during course of treatment in Bheri Zonal Hospital. "He fell down after completing the 100 meter race. It is very uncommon for a person to pass away after running for 100 meters. We are not sure if it is the race or the temperature or any other reason for his death," said DSP Paudel.
