Chinese Defence Minister meets DPM Nidhi
Chinese Defence Minister General Chang Wanquan, who is on a three-day formal visit to Nepal, held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi on Friday.Chinese Defence Minister General Chang Wanquan, who is on a three-day formal visit to Nepal, held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi on Friday.
At the meeting, the duo discussed developing economy between Nepal and China, strengthening bilateral relationship and security arrangements.
The meeting also focused on increasing connectivity through road networks between the two countries and boosting capacity of their security agencies, said Home Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi.
They also discussed exchanging border information.
On the occasion, the Chinese Defence Minister said that China would provide physical and technical assistances for building a training centre for Armed Police Force (APF) of Nepal.
The meeting also dwelt on the issues to resume Tatopani border point that has remained closed since the earthquake of April 25, 2015.
Chinese Defense Minister Wanquan arrived in Nepal on Thursday at the invitation of Defence Minister Bal Krishna Khand.
The Chinese Minister also called on President Bidya Devi Bhandari today itself. RSS
