Chapagain, a resident of Shantipur at Belauri-6 in Banke, who is injured in the chest and hands, has been admitted to the Nepalgunj-based Western Regional Hospital. Though the Kanchanpur administration pledged to support his treatment, the family complained that they have not received anything from the authorities.
Tikaram’s wife Sabina said her husband was seriously injured after the SSB personnel hit him with the butt of their rifle. “We don’t have money even to buy medicines,” she lamented.
Banke Chief District Officer Rabilal Pantha said he had requested the hospital administration to facilitate his treatment. “The Kanchanpur administration should provide money to buy the medicines and for other expenses,” he said.
