The Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) has announced transportation strike in Saptari district on Monday in protest against the CPN-UML's Mechi-Mahakali National Campaign. The UML is organising rallies and mass meeting in Saptari district today.
Vehicles of both long and short routes have stayed off the road due to the SLMM strike.
SLMM leaders said that the strike was organised to disturb the UML's mass meeting slated to be organised on the premises of industrial estate.
Likewise, the SLMM also organised a baton rally in the district this morning.
The local administration, however, has said that security situation has been beefed up to prevent any untoward incident in the district. RSS
