Dry landslide blocks Daram River in Baglung

Power supply in various parts of the district has been disrupted after the landslide washed away electricity poles of central transmission line.
The landslip has also put the house of local Man Kumar Shahi at risk.
Scores of vehicles plying the Mid-Hill Postal Highway have been stranded following the incident that occurred at around 5 am today.
A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Harichaur, under the command of Inspector has already reached the incident site, SP Chandra Kunwar Khapung of the District Police Office, Baglung, informed.
There was no possibility of immediate resumption of highway by clearing the landslide debris, SP Kunwar said.
Meanwhile, Man Kumari Nepali, 56, was electrocuted at Gaighat, Kalfi of Righa-7.
The incident occurred after an electricity pole fell upon her following the landslide.
Police said that she breathed her last while being rushed to a hospital in Hatiya.
