Police seized a huge quantity of marijuana from an India-bound ambulance at Haripur-9 in Sunsari district on Tuesday. A joint patrol team of the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force seized 200 kg of marijuana from the ambulance (Ko 1 Cha 5505) during a security inspection. Police said seven sacks of marijuana were recovered from the vehicle. The ambulance driver fled the scene after seeing the security personnel. A man identified as Bolshyan Mandal, who was also travelling in the ambulance, was arrested. The ambulance was under the name of Thakthaku Maohang Chemjong Bansha Utthan Sangh, Dharan. (PR)
