Cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha vandalised the office of Rajbiraj Municipality in Saptari district on Wednesday.

They also pelted stones at the office in protest against the announcement of local body election date without amending the constitution.

Life in Saptari and Siraha district has been affected due to the strike called by Morcha today. There are almost no vehicles on the road besides few cycles and motorcycles.

Educational institutes, factories and market areas have remained shut due to the strike.
