The driver was killed and other 17 passengers were injured when the jeep (Lu 1 Ja 108) heading to Trivenidham met with accident at Ramgram-6 of the district on Friday.
The deceased driver is Rakesh Kumal, 21, of Kapilvastu district. Among the injured 17, four were in critical condition and all of them are undergoing treatment at Bhairahawa Medical College.
Meanwhile, a religious fair is taking place at Trivenidham on the occasion of Maghe Aushi. Locals and people across the border from India are also thronging in the fair.
According to fair organizers, over 200 Nepal Police and around 100 Armed Police Force personnel were mobilized for the security. RSS
