A mountain guide died of altitude sickness at Khumjung VDC-7 in Solukhumbu district on Tuesday.
The guide identified as Padam Jang Rai, of Gupteshowr in Bhojpur district, died of altitude sickness, Eastern Regional Police Office confirmed. He was taken ill at Lukla region on his way back from Mountain Everest base camp.
Rai was an employee at Mountaineering Division at the Department of Tourism.
