Police on Wednesday arrested Laxmi Prasad Acharya of Jhapa for defaulting on court debts.
A team of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested Acharya, 32, and handed him over to Verdict Implementation Directorate of the Supreme Court, Babaharmahal.
The Special Court had convicted him of corruption and slapped a fine of Rs 15.41 million on a corruption case. He was on the run since the court issued the verdict on 2005.
