He was found hanging from a rope tied to his neck at the forest in Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan-1, DSP at Chitwan District Police Office, Deepak Shrestha. His body was taken to the hospital for post-mortem on Tuesday.
He went out of contact after he left for Kathmandu from his office citing some official work. But he neither reached the central department in Kathmandu nor his home.
His family registered a formal application for search at the district police office through district soil conservation office on January 5 as he could not be contacted at all the possible locations.
He is survived by his wife, who currently lives in Kathmandu, and two daughters and a son. Police tracked the record of his call details which showed his phone was last in contact with a tower at a Mugling-based eatery.
