Ruling CPN (MC) decides to table amendment bill for parliamentary proceedings

The CPN (Maoist Centre) decided to this effect during a Central Office meeting of the party held at Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s personal residence in Lazimpat on Thursday. The party also decided to amp up parleys with other political parties to pass the bill at the parliament.
The ruling party’s conclusion comes at a time when Supreme Court ruling on the constitution amendment bill, which has been interpreted by the governing parties and the main opposition to their liking.
Likewise, the party has further decided to hold discussions with main opposition CPN-UML, who have been opposing the amendment proposal, and find a middle way to move ahead with the process.
